What this number means
Booked jobs per month is the bottom of your funnel: searches × visibility × click-through × call-through × booking rate. With the defaults — 2,000 monthly searches, 40% visibility, 8% CTR, 25% call-through, 50% booking — that is 2,000 × 0.40 × 0.08 × 0.25 × 0.50 = 8 jobs/month.
Revenue per month multiplies booked jobs by average job value: 8 × $350 = $2,800/month, or $33,600/year. Phone calls per month (16 at defaults) is the leading indicator to watch week to week — jobs follow calls with a lag.
The formula
In plain English: each funnel stage multiplies the previous one, so a small improvement anywhere compounds through every stage below it.
- Captured impressions = Monthly searches x Visibility share
- Clicks = Captured impressions x Click-through rate
- Calls = Clicks x Call-through rate
- Booked jobs = Calls x Booking rate
- Monthly revenue = Booked jobs x Average job value
- Annual revenue = Monthly revenue x 12
- Unique customers = Booked jobs / Jobs per customer per year (Pro)
Worked example
A plumbing company in Austin estimates 2,000 monthly local searches for its core services. It appears in the map pack or organic results for about 40% (800 captured impressions), earns an 8% CTR (64 clicks), converts 25% of clicks into calls (16 calls), and books half of those calls — 8 jobs. At a $350 average job value, that is $2,800/month and $33,600/year.
The funnel chart makes the leverage obvious: lifting CTR from 8% to 10% adds 2 jobs and $700/month, while lifting booking rate from 50% to 60% adds the same. Fix the steepest drop first.
Assumptions and limitations
- Funnel rates are averages, not promises. Real CTR, call-through, and booking rates vary by market, review count, pricing, and season.
- No ranking timeline. Visibility share is a steady-state assumption — it does not model how many months it takes to earn map-pack placement.
- Repeat business is simplified. The Pro repeat-rate input divides jobs into unique customers; it does not model lifetime value or referrals.
- Search volume is an input, not a measurement. Validate it against keyword tools or Search Console before trusting the revenue figure.
- All figures are planning estimates.
